Our Story

Tucked between the mountains of the Eastern Cape, our story began in the heart of my farmhouse kitchen. I’m Stephanie de Klerk, the owner and founder. My journey started with homemade soup, lovingly prepared using fresh vegetables from my garden. One day, while standing in front of my Esse anthracite stove and stirring a pot of soup, I found myself wondering what else I could create,something that could grow beyond the winter soup season. As I looked down at the rug beneath my feet, a thought came to me: rugs hold so many stories. They witness the everyday moments of family life and can be passed from one generation to the next. That simple moment sparked a love for beautiful, meaningful pieces that make a home feel warm and welcoming. Inspired by farm life, old buildings, vintage treasures, and the enduring charm of well-loved things, I began bringing together a collection of rugs, carpets, blankets, throws, duvet covers, and other comforting pieces for the home. Everything we offer is chosen with a focus on warmth, comfort, quality, and affordability. I believe that creating a beautiful, cosy home should be within everyone’s reach.
